About the ANSI/WMA 100 Standard

World Millwork Alliance is a standards-developing organization (SDO) accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). As an SDO, WMA maintains the ANSI/WMA 100 in accordance with ANSI’s Essential Requirements through WMA’s Procedures for the Development, Revision, Reaffirmation, Withdrawal, and Discontinuance of WMA Standards.

The ANSI/WMA 100 Standard:

  • Approved by ANSI as an American National Standard

  • Uses the ASTM E330 test method to obtain a design pressure rating for side-hinged exterior doors

  • Defines methods for qualifying exterior door system components for substitution in the rated system, thus limiting the amount of testing required

  • Contains door slab stiffness testing procedures for determining component substitution qualification

  • The standard can be used to meet wind load testing and labeling requirements in jurisdictions that have adopted the 2015 and later editions of the International Residential Code (IRC)

WMA members can access the ANSI/WMA 100 standard for free by clicking below to log into the Member Portal and selecting WMA 100 from the Resources menu. Non-members can submit a request to purchase the ANSI/WMA 100 standard.
