Overview
About the ANSI/WMA 100 Standard
World Millwork Alliance is a standards-developing organization (SDO) accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). As an SDO, WMA maintains the ANSI/WMA 100 in accordance with ANSI’s Essential Requirements through WMA’s Procedures for the Development, Revision, Reaffirmation, Withdrawal, and Discontinuance of WMA Standards.

The ANSI/WMA 100 Standard:
-
Approved by ANSI as an American National Standard
-
Uses the ASTM E330 test method to obtain a design pressure rating for side-hinged exterior doors
-
Defines methods for qualifying exterior door system components for substitution in the rated system, thus limiting the amount of testing required
-
Contains door slab stiffness testing procedures for determining component substitution qualification
-
The standard can be used to meet wind load testing and labeling requirements in jurisdictions that have adopted the 2015 and later editions of the International Residential Code (IRC)
